Essential oils & Dilution & Blends

What you need to know:

Whenever we use essential oils on the skin, it is important to dilute them with a carrier oil. Carrier oils are natural oils that are filled with toxin-free benefits that are amazing on their own and pair beautifully with essential oils. You can use a single carrier oil or blend the oils together to create a base for your essential oil blend. Below is a list of carrier oils and their benefits.

Here are just a few things to know:


Coconut oil & Fractionated Coconut oil

Fractionated Coconut oil that is processed to stay liquid at room temperature making it easier to work with as a carrier oil. Both types of coconut oil are great for softening rough dry skin, soothing rashes on the skin, and it can reduce inflammation, also has antibacterial and antiseptic properties. it has been known to prevent the growth of various microorganisms like viruses, fungi, bacteria, parasites, and protozoans.


Almond Oil

A good emollient, which means it helps soften and smooth skin. It helps relieve itching, soreness, dryness, and it also works on inflammation. Also full of vitamins A,B, & E it is great for your skin and nails.


Olive Oil

This is a common household item as well as another great carrier oil. It is high in fatty acids, anti-inflammatory compounds as well as antioxidants. Use it to hydrate your skin and speed up wound healing.
