Anti-Inflammatory Aid

General Inflammation is connected to almost all illnesses that threaten the equilibrium in the body. This soothing potion is steeped in the wonderful ancient practice known as Ayurveda. We will use roots and spices associated with the Indian medicinal system to neutralize inflammation: turmeric, ginger, cloves, cinnamon, and pepper. (All of these have powerful therapeutic effects. All herbal and natural medicine takes time unlike pharmaceutical solutions work faster but treat the symptoms but rarely ever the causes. The plant magic in this potion helps reestablish the body's equilibrium to better fight inflammation, so try to integrate this into your daily routine. The taste will make this easy!!!

Golden Milk

Serves: 1, Prep: 20 minutes


8.5 oz Almond Milk (or any kind)

1/3 oz Fresh Turmeric or 1/2 TBS Ground Turmeric

1/2 TBS Fresh Ginger or 1/2 Tsp Ground Ginger

2 Cinnamon sticks or 1/2 Tsp Ground Cinnamon

1/4 Tsp Cloves

1/8 Tsp Cayenne Pepper

1/4 Tsp Black Pepper

1/6 -1/3 oz Organic Local Honey


Place all ingredients except the honey in a sauce pan and boil gently for 15 minutes. Filter the potion into a glass/cup ( all biomass/ingredients leftover can be reused, just add a few more fresh ingredients)

Add the honey to bring out all the medicinal properties of this sweet delight.


Drink this potion in the morning or at night to benefit from its anti-inflammatory powers. As is often the case with plant magic, you will have to integrate this treatment for several weeks to feel the full potential of these ingredients.


Summer option: During the hot summer months, let this potion cool after infusing and serve with ice and a dusting of cinnamon before drinking.
