8.5 oz Almond Milk
1/2 TBS Lavender Flowers
1 TBS Chamomile Flowers
1 Tsp Cinnamon
1/2 oz Oraganic LOCAL honey
Directions:
Warm the milk and a small saucepan over low heat until just before boiling.
Remove the milk from the heat and add the flowers and spices and infuse for 15 minutes. (Infuse, just means in this case to steep or let it sit inside together covered.)
Finally, filter the potion and add the honey (in this recipe the honey can be infused with valerian, cannabis, lemon balm, or passion flower).
Drink one hour before going to bed for calmer and deeper sleep.
Special Healer's Secret: You can add a little grated fresh ginger and an extra pinch or two of cinnamon to transform this potion into an evening digestion elixir as well; the digestive system often slows down at night and this can cause stomach pain. The ginger and cinnamon work to soothe the stomach and balance acidity.
